With its position overlooking Lake Ontario and its relative proximity to Niagra Falls, Canada’s most populous city, Toronto, is a popular tourist destination for tourists from the UK and Ireland all year round. Yet, when it comes to New Year’s city destinations the city really puts on its party hat. Nathan Phillips Square located downtown on Queen Street and Bay Street is no doubt one of the primary party areas of the city on December 31st, with an open air concert each year that is broadcast live across the country.
